A new collaboration was born.
Together with Shani Bar Dimri we join forces and practices:
Flesh Out Time: an afternoon for experimenting with dance
A three-part programme to play with how we perceive the body in dance - the one on stage, and those in the audience.
Who is it for?
Everyone is welcome, no need for any dance experience - curiosity is enough!
First part: Who is afraid of dance? is a participatory introduction, a gentle warm up for our senses which prepares us to hold space together as an audience.
Keywords: time, somatic awareness, togetherness, choice making.
Second part: Anatomy of (un)holding is a dance performance in which we are invited to take time and observe ‘holding’ as a muscular-emotional act. We watch closely a female body folding, falling, and surrendering. Our gaze is invited to listen to forms and allow the trembling muscles to resonate. The dancer encourages us to embrace the beauty that can be found in broken moments, where we just need to hold-on to the physical-emotional struggle without knowing where it will lead us.

Third part: This not a Q&A
We take time for a reflection session around the experiences we just shared: artists- dancer- audience; everyone has a unique perspective and knows differently. A time to enjoy a cup of tea, while unpacking our imprints.
The whole event length is 90 minutes (this time)
