About RSVP
This workshop is intended for people involved in arts education with a specific interest in collaboration and shared decision-making in organisational work. Our point of departure is the so-called RSVP cycle, a model for facilitating creative processes that was developed in the 1960s by American choreographer Anna Halprin and her husband Lawrence, a landscape architect. The Halprins designed the RSVP cycle (Resources, Scores, Valuaction, and Performance) as a solution to problems in effective communication during art and research collaborations. While they always embraced the contingency of creative processes, they also observed a meaningful overcoming of obstacles (in decision-making, sharing intentions, finding aesthetic forms) when applying their model.

Workshop
Our intention is to carry out an RSVP cycle in 90 minutes, which includes an introduction to the Halprins’ way of working. A concrete goal will be to arrive at a Score that activates you towards new directions for your work practice. By collecting resources and scoring the process, we can gather what we hold in common, discover each other's unique ways and unfold new ones. An overall aim is to inspire to pursue other uses of the RSVP cycle as a working methodology.

We open the invitation to join this event for those who would like to reflect together and experiment with the model as applied to your work. Together, we will explore RSVP Cycles as a tool for enriching collective creative processes, recollecting relevant materials and concerns of participants around this shared topic.

Please reserve your spot via email until Sunday 6th
