You are invited to take part in a research session exploring belonging, memory, and the body.

Belongingness – finding home in the flesh is a participatory artistic research project that asks how experiences of “home” live in us beyond words. Through somatic attention, movement, and collective presence, we will explore whether sensations of homecoming can be evoked, shared, and sensed through the body – in gestures, shifts and nuances.

This workshop is intended for people involved in arts education with a specific interest in collaboration and shared decision-making in organisational work.
Our point of departure is the so-called RSVP cycle, a model for facilitating creative processes that was developed in the 1960s by American choreographer Anna Halprin and her husband Lawrence, a landscape architect.
Participation is free of charge and requires registration.

Together with Shani Bar Dimri and Roni Yaacovi we will contribute in the symposium with our artistic practices. We will bring our collaboration that is based on questions around the relation of time and the body in dance - the one on stage, and those in the audience. Together we seek the connection between the lived experience and philosophical knowledge, and its feedforward translation to an embodied learning / awareness.

Let’s meet at Korzo to warm up before entering the venue to witness a pole-virtuous, and then stay after to cool down and check what impressions are still alive

Almost-Christmas atmosphere we hit Theater Rotterdam for a joint date.

Elisabeth Gets Her Way by Jan Martens/Grip awaits us in the Grote Zaal and before that, we meet and consider how we arrive, move around, enter and share what a dance performance is to us.

Get Moving is the talent development for young adults at Korzo. As part of it, they had a sequence of performances and after-talks, called Kijken.

The last workshop I titled it Grazing inspired by the content - a state of “nibbling” - “tasting” art and encounters with participants in the group, the space, other visitors, civilians on the street. It took place at Stedelijk Museum Schiedam.

The fourth workshop in the series took place at Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam and is titled Candies inspired by the colorful cards participants received with prompts to guide them through their visit.

The third workshop was called Playground - following one participant reflection. It took place at Theater Rotterdam, foyer and kleine zaal. We watched together Three Studies (for a self-portrait) by SIMON BUS / CORPO MÁQUINA SOCIETY.

In the frame of my practice-led research, I facilitated 5 workshops: 2 in dance performances, and 3 in art institutions.

The second workshop I called it Sabotage and it took place at Kunsthal Rotterdam. The warm up took place at the Museum Park.
